Following our joint sector engagement event in June, CEF and SCAPP (Scotland’s Community of Access and Participation Practitioners) have today submitted an open letter to the Minister for Innovation, Technology and Tertiary Education.
The letter reflects the views shared by colleagues from across Scotland’s widening access and participation sector, both at the event and in the weeks since.
It sets out key priorities for national progress, including a greater emphasis on participation and outcomes alongside access, and more coordinated and collaborative national leadership on this agenda.
We would like to extend our thanks to the more than 100 practitioners and sector partners who joined us in June, whose insight and expertise shaped these recommendations.
We look forward to continuing to work together to keep fairness and equity at the heart of Scotland’s post-school education system.
