Invitation to tender – Mapping Scotland’s Fair Access Landscape

The Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland (CTUS) and The Robertson Trust are inviting submissions from researchers and other professionals who can help map all activity across the Scottish higher education landscape which enables fairer access to university.

Widening access to and participation in higher education is a core ambition in Scotland with a range of people and bodies leading initiatives locally and nationally. But collective, national progress is held back by a lack of full understanding of the scope, breadth and nature of activities.

Building on previous efforts to capture the extent of practice, the project aims to build a complete picture of the current landscape, with data made accessible through an online resource which will be open to all and updated regularly to capture changes over time.

The research output will be a valuable resource for students, funders, policy makers and institutions, enabling us to better understand what is happening, what is working and what needs to happen next.

The project is being led by CTUS with support from The Robertson Trust, and contributes to our shared ambition to see a more equitable and effective higher education system in Scotland.

Further information on the specifics of the project can be found in the Invitation to Tender.

The closing date for bids is Friday, 12th September at 5pm.

Questions about the project can be directed to Sean Cameron (Policy and Communications Manager) at sean.cameron@carnegie-trust.org or Hannah Garrow (Chief Executive) at hannah.garrow@carnegie-trust.org
